Loads of Literacy
Loads of Literacy is an early literacy program designed to meet families where they are. Through this program, donated books are taken to local laundromats to create literacy spaces for children and families to enjoy free of charge.
Many families spend hours in laundromats each week washing clothing and bedding, and children often have to tag along. This is a great opportunity to get books into the hands of little readers. Partnering with local laundromats, literacy spaces have been created at the sites listed below for children and families to enjoy. All literacy spaces are filled with books provided by donation and are 100% free to all families.
